The College of Indigenous Food Technology (CFT-K),governed by Council for Food Research and Development, Kerala (CFRD) is a prominent educational institution owned by the Government of Kerala, under the Department of Food and Civil Supplies . In a span of a decade of its existence CFT-K has gained importance as a pioneer institution providing quality education in the field of Food Technology and Quality Assurance and has emerged as the only institution that provides undergraduate course in the field of Food Technology affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University.

CFT-K is located at Perinjottakal, in Ayravon village, 4 kms away from Konni town, in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. The campus of CFT-K is set up in 35 acres of lush green land owned by CFRD. The College of Indigenous Food Technology was established in 2008 with the objective of offering UG and PG courses in Food Technology and allied subjects.

The college aims at equipping the students to achieve academic brilliance, personal involvement and social commitment to meet the challenges of future. The college management has envisaged a comprehensive plan for further development with enormous investment of resources.
